MUD is in the running!

Uncategorized

GUPA is extremely proud of our sponsored touring Team MUD, who finished in third place at TUF this past weekend, showing themselves as a major contender on a provincial, and national level this year.  They lost to Union in the Semi-finals (and Union went on to beat Prodigy for top spot).

The Toronto Ultimate Festival (TUF) is the first major test of the season for any touring team, who have all just finalized their rosters for the year (after Soggy, of course).  If you see a MUD player, give their bum a congratulatory pinch from the GUPA community!

MuD and Maverick Sponsorship

Uncategorized

GUPA is pleased to announce a year-long sponsorship partnership with both MuD and Maverick. Based on the similar grass-roots approach to the spirit of the sport of ultimate, GUPA recognizes the many benefits from partnering with these two touring teams:

■ Providing experienced players as coaches for skills clinics
■ Volunteers for GUPA organized tournaments and special events
■ Promotional use of the GUPA name and logo on merchandise
■ Opportunities for fundraising for competitions (e.g. National Ultimate Championships in Vancouver)

Most importantly, this partnership will promote the spirit and the sport of ultimate in our local area. Stay posted for upcoming fundraising and special events with MuD and Maverick!
